We are currently looking for a mechanical engineer to join our manufacturing client based in Bradford BD3 - lovely working environment - with a great company.
**Working hours**
Monday-Friday
06.00am-14.00pm & 14.00pm-22.00pm
**Purpose of the role.**
Assess new and upcoming jobs to find improvement opportunities.

Assist the commercial team during the costing process by carrying out trials and creating samples.

Develop current machinery on-site through improvements, innovation and hardware upgrades.

Assist the production team in making training documents for new machinery and processes so team leaders and production staff have a reasonable understanding.

Carry out risk assessments on all new equipment and processes.

Implement Lean process, Kaizen, carry out preventative maintenance and ensure all production machinery operates at optimum performance.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Produce sample products as requested by the commercial department and feed information back such as outputs, material sizes and specifications, tooling needed and costs.
- Inspect any new machinery purchased needs to ensure it meets expectations and is of good build Quality to ensure reliability. Upon acceptance work with the production team to develop a training plan to allow the appropriate staff to be trained on how tooperate the machinery efficiently and safely.
- Set up machinery for production to run at optimum performance.
- Service machinery in accordance with iAuditor and actively update the iAuditor system with any new requirements (preventative).
- Diagnose and rectify machine faults (reactive).
- Ensure all safety features are active and in working order.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Carry out other duties as directed by directors of the business or your manager.
- Maintain standards of the following in line with company procedures.
