Middlesbrough Staying Put Agency is a Home Improvement Agency, highly regarded for providing a range of services for older, vulnerable, and disabled people to help them remain living independently in their own homes.

If you would like to work in Adult Social Care, in an essential, rewarding role which provides skilled services to benefit some of the most vulnerable people in Middlesbrough, then this is the job for you.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated operative with excellent interpersonal skills to join our dedicated Handyperson Service.

You must be committed to providing a high-quality service in a busy environment, working to deadlines, ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe manner.

You will assess and recommend adaptations and Telecare sensors to assist service users in the home and provide advice on practical, security and fire risk measures that can be taken to reduce the likelihood of accidents and incidents within the home, helping to promote independence, well-being, and inclusion of the client group.

You will liaise with Occupational Therapy staff and other professionals and ensure you represent the council’s values to provide a positive customer experience.

You must have effective assessment skills, be committed to multi-disciplinary working and be able to manage a varied workload.
