Horticultural Mechanic

Parks and Streetscene are seeking to appoint a hardworking and reliable person to be our Horticultural Mechanic.

Duties include the maintenance of the Council’s horticultural machinery fleet to ensure that the machinery is roadworthy and safe to use.

The successful applicant should have experience of maintaining horticultural equipment and be conscientious, flexible, trustworthy, and have good communication skills. They should enjoy working both indoors and outdoors and be able to undertake a significant amount of walking and lifting during the working day.

The applicant will be required to work an average 37 hour per week with the actual hours being in accordance with a service specific flexi system which may be amended when required.
