Sole Gardener job Nantwich Cheshire - £22,000 to £25,000 GPA depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced hands on gardener to join the house hold team, you will work as the Gardener looking after approx. 4 acres of lawns and formal garden. Previous gardening experience essential.

The house is a period property set in a total of 30 acres with two further barns on site, in total approx. 4 acres is formal garden and lawns, the field is rented out for livestock. One of the Buildings is rented out, and there will be liaising with the tenants occasionally. The owner has a second home and management of the property when the client is not there will be required. The client owns other properties in the area and there may be the occasional visits required.

The client is keen to find someone who loves gardening and who will be able to maintain the garden as well as advise then on areas to develop with appropriate planting. This will be a hands on role with you looking after all of the general maintenance gardening, weeding, planting, lawn care, pathways, pruning, hedge trimming, composting, use and maintenance of machinery, tree care.

You will be required to manage your own time and able to work without daily instruction, ensuring annual tasks are carried out at the correct times of year. There will also be some liaising with contractors and general handyman duties including maintaining fencing and garden buildings, pianting, general handman tasks, and occasional jobs inside the house. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and experience of pool maintenance would be an advantage, but not essential. (A contractor currently maintains)

This is a lovely rural location and a garden which, although already well established, has plenty of potential for the right experienced gardener to help the owners realise.
