This role is a combination of campus security and student welfare with no two days being the same - from responding to emergencies, handling disputes, running workshops and making our students feel safe you will have the opportunity to make a real impact at work, enriching lives with meaningful interactions.

You will play a key role in developing and fostering relationships with everyone on campus and have an active presence both onsite and within the local area, in order for us to maintain a safe, secure and trouble-free environment. You will be able to engage with students, promote behaviours that reflect the ethos of our college and is able to notice signs of students who may be struggling or in crisis and provide support whilst also maintaining a safe and secure environment.

We require exceptional levels of customer service, the ability to be diplomatic in conflict and empathise with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. You will be a positive individual and committed team player, but with the ability to work independently and on your own initiative. As a team we go beyond the traditional security boundaries and as an individual you must be highly skilled and flexible to deal with this challenging and varied role. The ability to embrace change is a must. As a college we consider the right attitudes and behaviours are just as important as experience and skill.
