**Main Job Functions**:

- A Trainee Smart Repairer will strip, fit, sandblast and prep alloy wheels to a good standard of workmanship.
- A Trainee Smart Repairer will also operate a CNC Diamond Cut Lathe and a alloy wheel straightener.
- In addition to the tasks above there will also be room for progression in the following once training has been provided: MET, panel repairs including filler work, priming vehicles, bumper repairs including plastic welding, prepping body panels, masking, paint mixing, painting and paint correction.

**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Read and understand job instructions prior to starting job.
- Remove and refit tyres
- Sandblast, prep and mask up alloy wheels.
- Operate a CNC Diamond Cut Lathe
- Operate a alloy wheel straightener
- Mask up alloy wheels ready for paint
- Colour checking and mixing paint.
- Paint and clear coat alloy wheels
- Clean Ovens and change filters when required.
- Take collect vehicles from other departments when required.
- Keep housekeeping to a high standard in the prep area including ovens mixing rooms.
- Jet washing vehicles after final checks before they leave the Paint Shop.
- Ensure good standards of workmanship.
- Ensure all work is carried out within health safety guidelines.
- Undertaking any other ad hoc tasks as requested by Management and senior staff
