**Sense Scotland **is recruiting now for **full and part time Support Practitioners **however, due to the location of this service, you must be a **driver **to be considered.
**Your new role**:
You will join a dedicated team to support individuals in every element of their lives within the service and out in the community. Your focus will be on person-centred care whilst ensuring the residents health, safety and wellbeing are maintained. You will respond appropriately to any challenging behaviour or emergency situation which may arise and ensure a positive environment where residents feel comfortable and at home.
**About the service**:
Set within the historic village of **Auchtermuchty**, the service building benefits from a spacious communal lounge, kitchen area, dining room and a conservatory that can be used for a variety of different activities. To the front of the property is a small car park, and a private front garden which leads to a partially walled back garden with a vegetable patch and which boasts a log cabin/summer house.
The service supports 3 individuals who each have their own complex needs including, but not limited to; impaired vision, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, epilepsy and congenital rubella syndrome. Each person supported has their own room within this purpose-built building. Given the complexity of needs, each person has a bespoke support package tailored to their own specific needs. Our loyal team provide support in every element of their lives, with a focus on person-centred care allowing each person to achieve their goals and aspirations.
**About you**:
You don’t need experience but you do need have the commitment and drive to bring the best part of you every day. You will be coached and mentored while you navigate your way through your first weeks and beyond. On offer is one-to-one on the job training; in-house classroom style training with our experts; opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge via our e-learning packages and full support in gaining additional qualifications through our own SVQ centre.
