Dispenser

**Job summary**

You will be a part of a busy and active dispensary team processing all relevant prescriptions as authorised by GPs and prescribing clinicians, in accordance with our established processes, policies, and procedures. You will deliver a high-quality service and deal efficiently and courteously with patient enquiries. You will have excellent computer and communication skills, a compassionate and friendly nature who can operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and working well in a team.

**Main duties/key tasks**:

- To ensure that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription and whenever there is doubt about the appropriateness of the item, or about the dose or labelling instructions to check with the authorising doctor or duty doctor.
- Help at the front desk/hatch to help give out medications and collect prescription charges and that the patient declaration on the reverse of the FP10 is duly filled in and signed by the patient.
- To learn the SystmOne Ordering system. Checking against stock and ordering the correct items.
- To be prepared to work at least one late shift per week until 6:30pm.
- Handling dispensary transactions by cashing up and counting scripts.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24.5 per week
