An outstanding opportunity to join us in this role:

- Review existing risk metrics and targets to ensure risk is being appropriately measured and look to define or develop new metrics/targets as necessary.
- Investigate operational incidents and control failures; communicate and monitor identified risk issues and suggest/track appropriate corrective action.
- Analyse current processes and controls, which includes deep dives, to understand residual risk issues and recommend enhancements, in order to remediate areas of control weakness.
- Prepare monthly Control Review Meeting materials with Global Operations senior management. This includes compiling the control pack, facilitating the meeting, working in partnership with the Global functional & regional line management team to provide independent risk challenge and ensure that all key risks & regulatory requirements are well understood, and relevant issues are escalated.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with senior members of line management responsible for underlying process & supervisory controls and ensure value added activities are performed to understand & enhance their control environment.
- Work with line management to support Audit/Regulatory Examinations, internal RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) and associated follow up actions.

You will join the London Line Risk Management (LRM) team, which is made of experienced operational risk managers, with respective coverage areas, and often collaborating with their peers in London and other locations globally on common initiatives. Line Risk Management is a global team supporting Global Operations’ management and function with their Operational Risk agenda. Line Risk Managers face directly to Global Operations’ line functions to help understand and manage Operational Risk. This position offers remote working opportunities for an agreed amount of days per week.

**Your skills and experience**

You will need to be a highly motivated individual with appropriate Operational Risk experience, awareness of Banking & Securities Operations, and outstanding communication skills.
- Operational Risk experience, in ideally Banking & Securities Operations setting, or proven track record in related risk or compliance or audit or product control role(s).
- An inquisitive mind-set with a desire to build professional relationships at all levels within the firm. Ability to manage work effectively under pressure.
- Intermediate Power-point and Word skills. A Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting discipline preferred but not essential.
