**The Role**

Harrogate’s
CCTV system makes a major contribution to the safety of our streets - but it’s
only as good as the small team of operatives who staff the control room. Your
vigilance, initiative and sense will make all the difference: cameras may see
everything, but they can’t make decisions - you can.
You’ll
receive full training on using the equipment, reviewing digital evidence,
maintaining daily logs, use of radio’s and other duties.

You will support
retail and night time economy members of the Radio link scheme that operates
across the Harrogate district by sharing intelligence sharing and responding to
live incidents.
You will be
responsible for accurately recording and completing all necessary
administration, reviewing and producing evidence and make necessary copies and
statements for partner agencies.

As part of this role you should be
enthusiastic and have the ability to work under pressure as you will be
expected to confidently liaise with Police, emergency services, Council
Services, Crown Prosecution Service, Government agencies, businesses and other
authorised contacts

About You

You will;
- Have experience
operating and monitoring surveillance equipment and digital recording equipment
- Have experience of computer systems, data base entry and a range
of computer software
- Ideally have Level 2 Award for working as a CCTV Operator, or be
open to working towards this
- The ability
to learn how to monitor cameras within control room environment
- Be prepared to undertake an eyesight and/or hearing test where
required
- We work a
24-hour shift system based on an average 37-hour working week and a five week
rota, this will include working solo shifts, days, nights, weekends and
overtime as required.
