Join the multidisciplinary team at Wellesley Hospital providing care to men and women with mental health conditions in a modern and purpose-built hospital with low and medium secure environments.
Reporting to a Registered Psychologist, you will join the team on the new learning disability service, where you will be guided and supervised as you assist with assessments, formulations and new therapy treatments to people within a group and 1-1 setting.
As a Psychologist Assistant, you will have previous experience with DBT and CBT within a similar setting, where you have supported people with psychosis or complex mental health needs.
You will assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching, project work and will provide supervision to members of the MDT at Wellesley Hospital.
**Your responsibilities**
- To hold a caseload of clinical work, including carrying out individual psychological intervention
- Prepare and deliver a range of presentations and written reports to explain the results of clinical audit
- Support qualified Psychology with psychological assessment and treatment, staff training, research and audit.
- Conduct service evaluation projects and investigate the outcomes.
- You will be 50% clinical and 50% research/service evaluation work.
- Deliver protocol based psychological interventions to individual patients and groups
**To be successful in this role, you'll need**
- Experience of working within a similar setting
- 2:1 Psychology degree
- Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
