Joiner/carpenter

Independent Events are an event company based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, we design, build and run every part of our events and with our busiest time of year approaching, we are looking to expand our team to aid the preparations for multiple festive event builds.

We are looking for help ASAP for 5 days but this may lead to more work in the future.

Skilled joiner/carpenter

Location - Our workshop in Wallsend, accessible by public transport if needed.

**Duties**:

- Perform a variety of skilled tasks in construction, maintenance, and repair projects
- General duties such as painting and mending (mainly working with wood)
- Assist with the installation of structures
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Driver preferred with own tools.

There may be some possible to have the opportunity to work away at event installs which often happen at night. Accommodation will be provided for these.

We offer competitive pay based on experience (paid on a self-employed basis). This is a temporary position with opportunities for ongoing work during busy periods. If you have the required skills and are looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
