We are recruiting for a Vehicle Service Controller / Receptionist for our established independent family run garage offering car repairs, MOT and servicing & tyre sales and fitment.

As well as a established private customer base it also provides invaluable support to our Car Sales Dealership Vehicle Preparation Department which has a great reputation for customer satisfaction and is one of the most established businesses of their type in the Sussex area. It provides an excellent and friendly environment in which to work.

**The role**:

- As a Customer Service Advisor / Receptionist you will deal directly with customers, scheduling service work to their vehicles, sourcing and ordering required parts, and informing them of any additional repairs required. You will handle administrative and customer relations aspects of the service departments operations. You will demonstrate professionalism, persistence and excellent communication skills over the phone and face to face. Subsequently suitable previous experience of working within the motor sector and repair and servicing procedures is essential.

You'll play a key role in engaging with customers. Customer Service & Workshop Efficiency is the primary focus of your role and you'll be supported fully in your development within this role.

**Your duties include**:

- Greeting customers, handling enquiries and scheduling work
- Answering the telephone
- Interpreting customer concerns and comments and liaising with the Service Manager and Workshop controller
- Liaising with customers and gaining authorisation for any additional work required
- Keeping customers fully informed and arranging vehicle collections and deliveries
- Handling customer concerns
- Responding to customer requests
- Preparing estimates for the customer
- Preparing invoices for the customer
- Ensuring Reception area is tidy and presentable
- Taking payment and recording method
- Ensuring vehicles are ready for scheduled collection times
- Maintaining Quality Controls and Profitablity.

**You are Responsible for**:

- Ensuring customers are kept fully informed throughout the process
- Answering the telephone in a timely manner
- Meeting and greeting customers
- Ensuring payment methods are recorded accurately
- Ensuring work space and customer waiting area is clean and tidy

**Skills Required**:

- A professional manner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent numeracy skills
- The ability to multi-task
- The ability to gather technical information and relay it in a way that customers will understand
- Good time management skills
- Previous experience of working within the motor sector is essential
