**Job summary**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Clinical Fellow to join our ADHD service.

The post holder will undertake psychiatric assessments and mental and physical examinations. With the ADHD team they will contribute to diagnostic assessments in an outpatient setting by learning about how to complete DIVA assessments and doing the basic psychiatric assessment. They will also have a role in the annual physical health checks and medication reviews. They will also take a role in prescribing on the EPMA system as the ADHD service is one of the trial services for OP prescribing. We are not expecting any prior training in ADHD assessment, but this would be a great role for someone considering a career in Psychiatry who would like to focus on a specialist area for a year before joining a training scheme. Professor Muller-Sedgwick is the medical lead for the service and is involved in international research and Royal College working groups on ADHD. The service also comprises of a part time Specialist ADHD nurse, and other Consultants.

The post holder will undertake psychiatric assessments and mental and physical examinations. With the inpatient team they will contribute to formulation, risk assessment, care planning and treatment for people with severe mental health problems in an inpatient setting.

The post holder will participate in weekly academic teaching sessions involving: case presentations; journal club; external and internal lectures; and audit presentations. Additional organisation-wide educational events occur on a regular basis. There will be a minimum of one hour per week protected time for personal supervision.

Doctors have an allocated study budget to which Clinical Fellow doctors may apply. This post is 09:00 17:00 with no on call responsibilities.
