Role

As a forklift driver, you will be responsible for the transportation of goods and pallets around a warehouse or building site. The role of a forklift driver involves the following duties:
Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles
Moving a range of materials around the site or storage facility
Following written instructions and keeping records
Carry out loading and unloading operations using forklift trucks
Placing materials in warehouse storage areas in accordance with instructions
Checking condition of materials during loading, unloading and handling operations
Completing and updating documentation relating to goods in storage and in transit
Carrying out stock taking operations
Picking and Replenishing stock
General warehouse duties

Key attributes the company will be looking for include:
Ability to drive forklift trucks (forklift license holder)
Attention to detail
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Ability to operate and control equipment
Understanding of health and safety
Knowledge of the safety procedures regarding the use of forklift trucks
Reliability and professionalism
Good interpersonal skills

Experience

A minimum of 2 years experience
Experience in operating counterbalance and reach forklifts (5-16 tonne)
Experience working with steel and board products is an advantage
NPORS (B1) - Industrial Counterbalance
NPORS (C1) - Side loader

Working Days

7am - 4pm
