**Position Summary**:

- The primary responsibility of this role is managing the Digital Security tools a day-to-day basis and leading the technical deployment of new features or new tools.
- The roles tertiary responsibility is to support the Security Operations Centre (SOC) in responding to cyber incidents.
- The roles tertiary responsibility is to lead the deployment of the IT security tool set into the Industrial Control Systems used by gas producing assets. This includes close engagement with the technical and operational teams that operate the gas producingassets.
- The role includes deputising for the Cyber Defence Manager and supporting the Cyber Defence Manager.

**Main duties & responsibilities**:

- Manage the cyber defence tool set (which is comprised of the market leading tools in each category).
- Continually increase the effectiveness of the tools deployed and actively deploy new features that are released, ensure that tools are used to their maximum potential.
- Assess the current tool set against the threats and Cyber market then identify gaps in defence or opportunities to reduce cost and improve capability.
- Support the SOC and Cyber Defence Manager when dealing with business-as-usual and major Cyber incidents.
- Deputise for the Cyber Defence Manager.

**Essentials**:

- Fluent in English (oral and written) and one other of Neptune's main languages would be beneficial.
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
- At least 2 years hands-on experience managing IT systems and at least 1 in a security focused role.
- Detailed IT knowledge.
- Good understanding of Industrial Controls Systems / Distributed Control systems
- Able to develop strong relationships.

Offering a hybrid working pattern, with 3 days in the office in Aberdeen, and 2 days WFH.
