**BRIEF JOB SUMMARY**

**HOURS OF WORK**

Full time positions: 37.5 hours per week
- 8:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 8:00 - 13:30 Friday
- 14:30 - 23:00 Monday to Thursday, 11:30 - 17:00 Friday
- 6:00 - 14:30 Monday to Thursday, 6:00 - 11:30 Friday
- 6:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday
- 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday
- 22:00 - 06:00 Sunday to Thursday (the “night shift” - ending 6:00a.m. on Friday)

**Main purpose**
- Manage and control of the production process in order to full fill customer orders, in terms of quantity, time and quality.
Build and manage the process that effectively and efficiently responds to changing customer orders, adjusting production capacities and human resources._

**Duties**:

- Responsible for conducting activities within its department in an effective manner towards achieving common objectives of FMP.
- Reporting deviations from the standard and takes appropriate corrective actions.
- Take action to achieve the operational objectives set out in production plans and indicators (KPIs).
- Reports the results of the subordinate area according to the adopted rules.
- Responsible for safe operation of the subordinate production area by supervising the PPE and the proper use of machinery & equipment.
- Responsible for optimizing working time in the subordinate area of production by controlling the efficiency and coordination of work positions at individual stages of production.
- Co-corresponds with the engineering department and Continuous Improvement department for the constant optimization of production processes in line with the LEAN principle by making the production lines more flexible, eliminating the waste / losses, building production standards.
- Responsible for forwarding information and reports on the current implementation of the adopted production plans to Supervisor and / or manager.
- Responsible for the commitment of employees and securing a consistent, high level of product quality by instructing directly subordinate employees in terms of quality, active participation in solving quality problems.
- Responsible for trainings of subordinate staff by:

- providing and delivery all necessary & required by quality and production processes trainings
- updating training matrix
- updating training files
- Responsible for supporting the preparation and implementation of a production plan based on customer orders - daily and weekly production plan.
- Responsible for organising day to day work in subordinate area by:

- organising components/materials from the warehouse in a timely manner.
- issuing and de-kitting components to and from works orders.
- management of labelling process
- monitoring and adjusting consumable stock
- moving product according with production process (if needed)
- provide changing over the components / materials if needed and requested in production area
- Responsible for works order reconciliation management.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- PC literacy skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Thorough product knowledge and process knowledge
- Confident in decision making and problem-solving skills with an understanding of problem solving tools
- Experience in leading teams and people management
- Flexible to work at either our Lancaster (White Cross) or Morecambe (White Lund) site

**RATE OF PAY**
- To be discussed at interview
- In addition, £1.00 per hour shift supplement will be applicable when working the night shift
