**Job Title: ELECTRONICS WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR**

**Job Purpose**:
The Workshop Supervisor will assist in the running of the PM Workshop and will ensure that the highest level of quality is achieved with all jobs done by operatives in line with the company’s commitment to ensuring best practice engineering.

**Key Accountabilities**

1. Supervise and provide technical support to workshop operatives

2. Act as a working supervisor, ie Supervisor is expected to carry out work in the normal jobs that come into the workshop on a day to day basis. Supervisor must have key skills in one or more of the following activities:
i. Servo motor repair

ii. Control panel wiring

iii. Control panel design

iv. Electronics repair

v. Inverter use and repair including installation and programming

3. To be available to work and supervise on site

4. Ensure that the correct workshop procedures are being carried out on shop floor

5. Allocate jobs to operatives and monitor progress including job times in line with quotation

6. Monitor and inspect all jobs in progress at key stages and prior to delivery; ensure all findings are adequately recorded

7. Ensure ordering materials and job bookings are passed to appropriate clerk within normal hours

8. Assist with ensuring all training records for operatives are maintained

9. Deputise for Workshop Manager when required and take responsibility for all workshop activity

10. Health & Safety: Ensure that PPE has been issued and that staff are using it correctly

11. Health & Safety: Ensure that the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times

12. Health& Safety: Ensure that all equipment is kept in good working order and put back after use in the correct place by all staff

13. Equipment: Ensure that the calibration of measuring equipment is current

14. Admin: Customer/supplier correspondence, job photo upload, reports and costing where required, including the booking in of jobs.

15. Site: attend site to cost or carry out site work as deemed fit by workshop workload.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required**:
The Electronics Workshop Supervisor should be a time served Electronics/Electrical Technician/Engineer and must have worked across a range of motors including AC & DC machines. Also a sound knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering.

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
