ZLX specialise in providing senior experienced personnel in the fields of engineering and finance to collate information and data to provide expert reports that will combine to generate high end qualification to HMRC for engineering related tax credits. The focus on experience within the business allows ZLX to comfortably provide customers with superior knowledge that enables the business to analyse risk and make informed decisions. The ZLX environment provides the customer with the enviable situation of engineers and accountants working in harmony to create meaningful business solutions.

We are looking to bring in a Credit Controller to join our already successful finance team that provides industry leading guidance and assistance to a broad and diverse client portfolio. Our team has more than doubled during the pandemic and we will soon reach the milestone of 100 staff both internal and external to support the business.

The role requires a commercially minded finance professional who has an enthusiastic approach to communicating with stakeholders in relation to cash collection. The role also requires accurate and timely internal records to be maintained, to allow the senior management team to monitor aged debt regularly.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following**:

- Aided by the Finance Director, implement credit control processes to be communicated with wider finance team.
- A calm, courteous manner combined with a pro-active and professional approach to cash collection.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive notes for review by the senior management team in relation to outstanding debtor balances.
- Ensure up-to-date contact details are held for all stakeholders.
- Build and maintain healthy working relationships with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders including ZLX consultants, clients, and employees as well as HMRC compliance agents.
- Liaising with other departments & staff to ensure the smooth running of our operations.
- Identify internal areas of improvement.
- Manage overall client engagement, including liaison with consultants and client staff.
- Build an internal network within the wider tax practice of the firm.
- Help to establish and maintain strong client relationships with both existing and new clients.

- Requires accurate and timely internal records to be maintained.
- Excel experience will be beneficial.
- Enthusiastic approach to communicating with stakeholders in relation to cash collection.
- Able to demonstrate project management skills and an ability to manage own workload well.
- Forward-looking attitude with an ability to use initiative and to solve problems.
- Friendly and approachable telephone manner - essential
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
