**Responsibilities for the job role**:
To control & coordinate waste movements on and off site so that all acceptable waste materials entering or leaving the transfer station are accurately recorded and accounted for, in line with licensing, permitting and invoicing requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Liaise with internal departments regarding their waste disposal requirements.
- Understand and be able to identify waste types being tipped at and removed from site.
- Understand use of E.W.C (European Waste Catalogue) codes and the importance of using the correct waste description.
- Ensure all customers have a valid Waste Carriers License and the details of their license is recorded on the weighbridge ticket.
- Produce weighbridge tickets and Duty of Care paperwork (Waste Transfer Note) for all waste leaving and tipping at the depot for both internal and external hauliers.
- Update the Duty of Care logs daily and required paperwork for all outbound loads.
- Completing export paperwork for metal loads.
- Completing Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes when accepting hazardous waste from customers.
- Understand yard operations and be able to advise customers on services when required.
- Liaising with Vehicle Marshals to ensure traffic is controlled from weighbridge.
- Communication via radio with yard and transfer shed personnel.
- Awareness of gross/tare/nett weights on vehicles, ensuring vehicles do not leave site overweight.
- Ensure all drivers have the correct PPE before leaving weighbridge.
- Be aware of current tipping rates for both account and non-account customers.
- Liaise with internal and external customers regarding additional charges.
- Ensure weighbridge weights are checked regularly and any irregularities are reported to Environment Compliance Manager.
- Remain vigilant of all movements in and out of the depot.
- Produce a daily summary report of number of movements (inbound and outbound) over the weighbridge.
- Produce adhoc reports as requested by management.
- Keep the site diary up to date with key information.
- Assist the Depot Manager and Administration Manager as required.
