**Mechanical Training Specialist**

**Hybrid - Some home working with travel required to various BCA locations including Rockingham**

**Up to £40,000 per annum + bonus + car allowance + benefits**

**40 hours per week Monday - Friday**

**We are looking for a Mechanical Training Specialist to effectively manage mechanical and EV training requirements throughout onsite BCA UK facilities. You will ensure all mandatory training requirements relate to industry governance and H&S standards are met. You will support and assist in training developments and improve efficiencies as part of the BCA's in-house training academy.**

**Key Accountabilities**

**Technical Training**
- Facilitate the scoping, planning and delivery of training requirements to ensure industry standards are met, including securing finance, articulating, understanding and documenting business requirements, compiling business cases and technical documentation.
- Design and facilitate Electrical Vehicle training.
- Work with internal management, technical and operational staff and 3rd party suppliers to achieve the appropriate mechanical training standards to improve methods and increase efficiency and productivity.
- Work in conjunction with the academy manager to develop and support in the delivery of generic and bespoke training programmes.
- Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness and success of training programs.

**Best Practice and Innovation**
- Own every contributing aspect of the training and innovation, reviewing the latest technologies and repair methods to bring the ultimate efficiency and productivity; including, as appropriate, management of provider, internal functions and stakeholders as required.
- Be responsible for end-to-end management of the learner experience, including pre and post registrations with any governing bodies and gathering feedback.
- Prioritise work stream activities - i.e. what can be done now to ‘get ahead’ taking a pro-active view of the relative training initiatives with hands on support.
- Facilitate 3rd Party supplier training programs to enhance technical understanding and advancements, whilst making the most out of our partners.
- Provide regular training updates as required including key risks, issues and mitigating actions.
- Evaluate current technical performances, and quality issues to hone in on the training deficiencies and requirements -hands-on bespoke direct support.

**Core Training Requirements**
- To support the development of core skills matrix for mechanical and EV roles within BCA UK.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of core processes to be used across BCA UK.
- Assist in the development of best practice consortiums to encourage engagement throughout BCA UK.

**Governance, Risk and Controls**
- Using scheduling tools to ensued certification and compliance training requirements are monitored to prevent nonconformity/compliance.
- Embed risk mitigation and governance into all regulatory and compliance training.
- Escalating any resource, or other, issues to the Technical Operations, Development Director for resolution.

**Stakeholder Management**
- Enable close cooperation across all GM’s in the remarketing teams and provide reassurance in H&S and productive compliance.
- Support Group Leaders and procurement team to understand the various requirements of the Retail Operations/remarketing Team.

**People/ Financial / Other**
- To role model the business values and behaviours.
- To engage all agreed stakeholders (within the business and support functions) ensuring they embrace any change.
- To support the management of required budgets and escalate any commercial risks or issues as required.
- Track spend and financial controls ensuring appropriate sign-off ahead of new implementation.
- Provide any other support to the Development team and overall development plan as required.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Vehicle Technician Level 3 or above.
- EV training knowledge desirable but can be taught.
- Outstanding technical understanding, organisation experience and results.
- Planning, time management and schedule scoping. Clear understanding of advancing technologies and training methods.
- Strong and proven stakeholder engagement skills and experience across a range of stakeholder levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent team player and team development skills.
- Enthusiastic and driven with a desire to succeed and to help others to succeed.
- Attitude of empowerment - must be able to lead a team to self-organisation and encourage teams to take ownership of the project deliverables.
- Situationally aware - must be the first one to notice differences and issues as they arise, resolve them and if necessary elevate them without hesitation.
- Excellent communication skills.
