As a Medical Typist within the Orthopaedic Directorate you will be jointly responsible for the Orthopaedics Consultants and their teams for 22.5 hours per week and will support the Orthopaedic Department with typing/secretarial cover. Word processing, audio typing, RSA3 or equivalent, MS Office, ability to work under pressure, ability to meet typing deadlines is essential. Orthopaedic medical terminology desirable.
Knowledge of the PAS system and other NHS packages is desirable although training will be given.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in working as part of a busy team and initiative when working alone.
Hours of work are to be agreed by the Secretary Supervisor/Line Manager to meet the needs of the service.
