The role holder is the operator for the Stretch-wrap machine, ensuring that all pallets meet set criteria before being put into stock or for immediate delivery to Customers.
**Specific Responsibilities**
- Operation of the Automatic and Manual Stretch-wrap equipment
- To receive pallets from Robot, Flats and Punching machines
- To check pallets meets the parking specifications
- To add corner posts and pallet labels as required
- To wrap the pallets, ready for despatch or storage
- Placing the wrapped pallet on the loading bay for despatch or put away into stock in the specified stock location
- To understand and pre-determine the space needed for new stock and organise warehouse to suit required number of footprints
- To keep robot supplied with pallets and layer pads to meet the packing specifications,
- Correct labelling of Pallets.
- Cover meal breaks of colleagues, where appropriate.
- Select pallets from stock for despatch as detailed on the daily schedule
- Housekeeping of all working areas under the control of this position; this is to ensure compliance with H&S, 5S, Lean and other appropriate initiatives
- To ensure the operation of any machinery such as Counterbalance Trucks is done so under the correct procedures and that all H&S incidents are reported
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a similar role, or an understanding of what is involved.
- Good standard of education required.
- Full working knowledge of Bobst Machinery.
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication skills essential, ability to give clear written and verbal instructions.
**Interpersonal Skills**
- Previous experience of working in a Manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of machinery and of the terms/language used in manufacturing.
- Good standard of education required.
- High level of concentration and attention to detail.
