Responsible for basic food preparation/assembly as well as providing a clean and safe working area following the company’s Health and Safety requirements.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

To prepare basic food ingredients as directed, ensuring the right tools are used as well as preparation methods.

Follow relevant specifications as appropriate to ensure the correct ingredients and quantities are used.

Ensure allergen requirements are followed throughout the process and goods are stored and labelled correctly.

Ensure that all areas of the kitchens are maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness expected from the business requirements.

To maintain all catering storages areas organised and clean at all times.

To comply with all legal requirements with particular reference to (but not exclusively) fire regulations, security, licence requirements and any Local Authority stipulations.

To ensure all Health, Hygiene and Safety requirements are being adhered to as described in the Health & Safety Policy

To ensure all areas are regularly checked for maintenance and repairs and that any problem is reported to a member of the management team.

Any other reasonable request by management.

Excellent communication skills, internally and externally

The ability to take the initiative when appropriate

Excellent time management

Be a supportive team player

Be able to demonstrate high level of organisation.

Excellent record keeping.
