**6am-2pm Monday-Thursday and 6am-1pm Friday**

**Annual Salary: £41,000**

**Role Summary**:
Reporting to the Operations Director. Inspect and maintain the quality of products.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure manufacture of consistently high quality products.
- Analyse internal and external data to drive improvement in product quality.
- Ensure that all necessary resource and skill sets are in place at operator level and end of line inspection to ensure high product quality standards are maintained.
- Take an active role in the CAR / FMEA processes.
- Actively work within our manufacturing departments, particularly our Upholstery Lines and Wood mill department, to identify the source of product quality problems, and rectify these through training of operators and product re-development.
- Undertake monthly material/component spot checks to ensure that all deliveries are to the required standards/specification.
- Liaise with our Design and Development department to highlight product quality issues and influence design change.
- Work with the Customer Service and Aftersales department to evaluate customer complaint data to identify root cause analysis and in turn drive product quality and process improvement within production.
- Liaise and visit key suppliers to provide support and help problem solve regarding any quality supply issues.
- Chair and present key data at the fortnightly Quality Meetings.
- Monitor and report on in line quality and end of line reject rates with feedback from the Quality department.
- Liaise with outside technicians regarding product faults.
- Report on quality data monthly to the Operations Director.
- Ensure the inspection turnover rate meets agreed production requirements.
- Establish and maintain a standard level of inspection across all Inspectors and Training Officers to the agreed company standards and procedures.
- Establish and maintain training requirements and supporting materials for all end of line inspectors and quality technicians.
- Liaise with Development and Training personnel to agree acceptable quality and inspection standards.
- Highlight and report on areas where standards are not being met.
- Work with Upholstery Manager to ensure effective End of Line sign off.
- Highlight and where appropriate raise CARs where standards could be improved.
- Liaise with QHSE department to assist in initial investigation of CARs.
- Ensure all reworks are being fully and appropriately reported via correct processes to enable feedback to suppliers and operators.
- Participate in and contribute to all product sign off’s, FME’s and frame reviews.
- Patriciate in and contribute to new model introduction process.
- Monitor, record and highlight issues concerning new model order repeats.
- Contribute to and promote continual improvement of Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems across all areas.
- Ensure accurate Operator training records are maintained.
- Liaise with Manufacturing Manager regarding cross training requirements.
- Oversee bench testing of new employees.
