**Grade B3**: Actual Salary £17,420 to £18,732

**Hours**: 33.5 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 5 days, fixed term until 31st August 2024

**Accountable to**: Special Education Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO)

This is an extremely exciting time to be joining Leeds City Academy, one of the most rapidly improving schools within the Leeds area and county of West Yorkshire. We are an 11-16 academy and one of four schools within White Rose Academies Trust, a trust recognised nationally for its ground-breaking and transformational impact on the lives of the young people it serves. The academy had a Section 5 Inspection in May 2019 achieving an overall ‘Good’ judgement with Leadership and Management judged as ‘Outstanding’.

Role:

- You will complement and support the role of teachers and other professionals by undertaking work/care/support programmes which enables access to learning in and out of the classroom for all students of all abilities.
- You will support the SEND department in the management of students, with a range of teaching and learning experiences which deliver an appropriately differentiated and suitably challenging creative curriculum for all students whilst meeting statutory requirements.
- You will be responsible for the accelerated progress of our students, ensuring that they can access the curriculum we offer through regular support.
