Executive Assistant

My client, University Hospitals of Morecambe, have an opening for a Executive Assistant to work at Westmorland General Hospital on a temp to perm basis. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid working is on offer so you can worksome days in the office (approx 2 days, although more may be required initially)and the rest at home. You will be accountable to the Associate Director of Corporate Affairs.
In your role you will provide a high level, confidential and comprehensive business support to Trust Executive Directors. You will manage the organisation of work for the Trust's Executive Directors, meet objectives by taking delegated responsibility forthe day-to-day organisation and effective management within a large organisation. You will be the initial point of contact for the Executive Director and to use proactive effective interpersonal management skills to take the responsibility to make autonomousdecisions on behalf of the Executive Director as appropriate. You will provide management of projects, systems, workstreams and Corporate Committees of behalf of the Executive Director to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the service.
**Experience needed;**
Administrative/ secretarial/ supervisory background. Significant PA or EA experience:
Administrative and secretarial experience working directly to a Chairman / Chief Executive / Executive Director in a large, complex organisation.
Ability to respond to constantly changing demands
Experience of processing and storing highly confidential and complex correspondence in a methodical, sensitive and secure way
Demonstrate ability to prioritise effectively and manage conflicting demands
Proven skills in personal time management
Excellent organisation and planning skills
High level experience in taking and writing minutes
Competent in all aspects office administration
**Personal qualities;**
Ability to travel as required
Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure with mínimal supervision (including prioritising work and using initiative).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer relation skills. Confidentiality and discretion
Demonstrate commitment to the Trust's values
Positive attitude conscientious and self-motivated
Adaptability and ability to cope with uncertainty and change
