Lochwynd Limited are currently looking for a Trainee Backfiller Loops to work as part of a two-man team. This role requires flexibility due to the nature of the business. Programming may require day shift / night shift / occasional weekends as per client demand. You must have a can do and responsible attitude to work.

All works to be carried out in accordance with Lochwynd Limited policies and procedures.

You will carry out works under the direction of the Operations Director / Contracts Manager.

The role of the Trainee Backfiller Loops will be to conduct works under the direction of the Squad Leader and ensure the safe and correct usage of Plant which includes:

- Safe and correct use of designated equipment whilst under supervision such as flymo blower, sthil saw, water pump (not an exhaustive list).
- Safe and correct use of fire Hydrant, vehicle tail lift, tar boiler and temperature probe.
- Safe and correct handling and use of Tar, Epoxy Resins, Loop Cable whilst under supervision.
- Assist Loop unit Operator with site set up - signs, cones hoses, marking out loop slots.
- Assist Loop unit Operator with TM set up on 30mph road
- Assist Unit Operator in the safe and correct installation of cable in slots, twisted tails, street furniture/cabinets.
- Safe and correct demonstration of placing resin material into slots and backfilling.
- Safe and correct identification of Loop Tails.
- Assist Unit Operator with the safe and correct installation of duct to specification.
- General site maintenance and cleanliness
- Any other duties as required.

**Key Deliverables**:

- To follow NRASWA, MCH/MCX rules and ensuring timely completion of job.
- Complete all relevant paperwork duly authorised and signed.
- Complete Job Pack and returned to the office.
- Health & Safety Awareness
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks
- Good Communication and ability to follow instructions given
- Dedicated to continuous professional development
- Groundworks experience.
- General Civil Engineering.
- CSCS/ECS Touchscreen Test Certificate/Card.
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Abrasive Wheels
