Optometrist Position

My client is an independent who is looking to add to their team by recruiting a two-day Optometrist for their well-appointed practice in the East London area.

The have an OCT, Phoropter and computer records and can boast of being one of the opticians of choice in the area.
They are proud of the service they are offering to a discerning client base built up over many years.
They are very well established in the community and as such the owner is himself a very experienced optometrist.

They have a strong team of 6-8 with all team with the majority in long term employment and dedicated to creating a great place to work.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

This role is primarily a clinical position and you will be conducting sight tests in 20-minute slots dependent on client’s requirements and clinic frequency.
You will also undertake contact lens fittings and aftercares. As with most independent companies all members of staff take part in all areas of the practice and you will be required to come onto the shop floor and answer questions etc if required.

Requirements of the Optometrist

Applications are welcome from GOC registered Optometrists of all levels of experience, so whether you are newly qualified, or vastly experienced, my client wants to hear from you. You will be a strong team player who is always keen to better yourself with strong commercial skills.

Compensation for the Optometrist

Salary package is flexible depending on experience £60,000 - £65,000 pro-rata, and a benefits package which includes health insurance.

The working hours required are Wednesday 10-5 & Sunday 10-3.
