**Main Purpose of Role**:
AYBL are looking for an exceptionally talented, in-house Menswear Designer to support the Design Team in the design and development of new and innovative products, in line with our brand image and customer needs regarding shape, fit, colour and trend direction. In this role you will work alongside and report to our Senior Designer to drive the direction of our menswear range forward, designing and developing products across multiple product categories and taking on the ownership of the design process from start to finish.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Drive the direction of our menswear range forward and take on ownership of the design process from initial concepts, through to the booking stage
- Constantly analyse and be up to date on the current trends in fabrics, colours and shapes across menswear/sportswear/activewear through comparison shopping, industry awareness and analysis of current AYBL products.
- Produce mood boards and sketches/designs in line with our brand image and customer needs including patterns and graphic designs
- Present designs/seasonal designs during CAD sign off meetings to our Directors, Senior Designer and wider teams
- Create clear and in-depth tech packs for each product, advising suppliers on direction, construction, and key details to ensure a high sampling hit rate is achieved
- Work closely with the Garment Technologist team, attending fit sessions to clearly communicate design comments/amends
- Produce and update monthly launch range plans to communicate upcoming product launches to the wider teams.
- Maintain and update sample progress trackers on the current design seasons samples.
- And any other duties required by your manager.

**Person Specification**
- 3 years minimum experience in a similar menswear specific role
- Degree in Fashion Design or similar
- Knowledge and understanding of pattern cutting, grading and garment construction
- Ability to CAD and a competent user of Adobe creative suites (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Previous experience in communicating with overseas suppliers
- Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
- Strong creative skills and understanding of brand guidelines
- Driven work ethic, taking ownership of your work/role
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to deal with constructive feedback on designs
- Passionate about making a difference
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Interest in the fitness industry would be advantageous
