Skilled Platelayer

DCUK FM is seeking skilled platelayers with experience working on London Underground and/or Network Rail infrastructure.

The position provides good prospects, working on long term framework contracts for both TfL and Network Rail.

**Rate**:
Competitive rates, negotiable dependant on experience

**Key Requirements**:

- Sentinel Card holder.
- Time served, experience and good understanding of p-way infrastructure within the London Underground and/or Network Rail environment.
- Must have a good standard of English, be well presented and able to interact professionally with clients and the public.
- Must be a team player able to work in a high-pressure environment, under own initiative, ensuring a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be prepared to work with asbestos materials in asbestos environments. Full training will be given.

**Desirable Experience**
- Rail specific training including SPC, PTS, BTA, Track Trolley, Iron Man, Track Tools would be preferred.
- Experience working with asbestos containing materials would be beneficial but not essential.

**Hours of work**
- Core shifts will be Sunday to Thursday nights inclusive, but applicants must be prepared to work on a Friday or Saturday where required.
- Core working hours will be LU Engineering Hours but applicants must be prepared to work daytime shifts and weekend possessions where required.

**Employment terms**
- PAYE position inclusive of holiday pay, pension and training.
- Training, face fits and medicals will be provided.
