What You'll Do:

- Report directly to the Technical Services Manager and take charge of day-to-day responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Technical administrator to plan and schedule all planned preventative maintenance activities for buildings, equipment, and plants using the Maximo system or other works management systems.
- Assist in negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring budgetary control, and maintaining financial accuracy in stock and contracts.
- Ensure timely response and diligent repairs from staff and subcontractors, meeting all established deadlines.
- Safeguard plant, equipment, and infrastructure, promoting safe working practices and adherence to regulations and standards.
- Participate as a member of the Estates Team and obtain Authorised Person (AP) status in High Voltage and Low Voltage systems.
- Take part in the 'on-call' rota, providing assistance when required after suitable training and experience.

Who We Need:

- Hold a City and Guild or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Demonstrate understanding of statutory maintenance requirements, technical documentation, and regulations.
- Possess excellent verbal, written, and numeric skills with proficiency in computer software.
- Showcase strong leadership skills, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Have knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act, Construction Design and Management Regulations, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Exhibit sound understanding of technical and building issues in construction, maintenance, and FM services.
- Showcase exceptional organisational and communication skills.
