- **DUTIES**_
- Assist veterinarians in providing care for animals
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as bloodwork and urinalysis
- Take and develop x-rays
- Clean and maintain examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment
- Provide assistance during surgeries and other medical procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- To assist with reception duties if required
- **SKILLS**_
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal care
- Proficient in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Familiarity with veterinary equipment, including x-ray machines and surgical instruments
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with veterinarians, pet owners, and other staff members
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and medication administration
- **HOURS**_
5 days per week, 5 hour shifts 2.00pm-6.00pm. On occasions we may ask you to work overtime and to maybe cover a saturday morning in Stirling which would be part of your core hours.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £12,480.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
