Careersolve are delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing company in Shildon who are currently recruiting for a **Forklift Truck Driver** to join them on a permanent basis on Day Shifts

Working Hours: 37.5 per week/ Paid for 40 per week - 6am Start

This role is to ensure all planned loads are loaded in full and on time. All consumable deliveries are unloaded and stored safely in line with H&S and quality requirements. Support all warehouse functions as required.

Main Activities/ Experience/ Responsibilities of the **Forklift Truck Driver** role:
The post holder will require to observe and uphold H&S in the workplace environment, whether individually or performing tasks within a team. The post holder must also possess a demonstrable ability of driving counterbalance forklift trucks under load as well as **hold a valid UK CB FLT license**. Follow and comply with H&S policy and quality system procedures and practice.
- The ability to understand and follow the correct process for using load picking tickets and load builds.
- Work effectively with colleagues to participate and contribute to the successful completion of both personal, team and business quality objectives.
- Contribute to the implementation of continual improvement processes.
- Report any unsafe equipment, areas, or acts immediately to the warehouse shift manager to resolve issues and maintain ‘best practice.’
- Conduct quality checks in line with the quality management system to ensure all products are within expected quality standards, highlighting non-conformance immediately prior to loading.
- Conduct daily equipment checks, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Understand and conduct 5s within all working areas.
