**Junior Fundraising Assistant**

Do you want a job that gives you to opportunity to give back to your community and learn new skills?

In this exciting and varied role within our fundraising team, you will be supporting your colleagues in a customer facing role generating income for our charity supporting local people in crisis.

We’re looking for someone keen to learn, with great people skills and experience in an administrative role or a customer service/events background who is looking to develop skills in events/community fundraising.

**Core Duties**
- Supporting the Fundraising team at events, for example our annual Charity Golf Day and other community activities
- The planning and running of weekend bucket collections
- Support the Fundraising Officer in ensuring excellent donor care standards and stewardship
- Support the development of opportunities for corporate engagement and sponsorship when required.
- Updating and maintaining our donor database,
- Taking part and contributing towards team meetings
- Other adhoc duties

**General Duties**
- Ensure good record-keeping of all fundraising activities
- Develop good working relationships with all stakeholders connected with the Charity, including staff, volunteers, supporters and the general public.
- Promoting the work of Horsham Matters; assisting with presentations and awareness events as appropriate
- Be a constructive member of the team and work cooperatively with other team members

**Experience**

Essential:

- GCSE English and Maths Grade C or equivalent
- Good IT skills
- Experience of working in a customer facing or admin role
- Good organisation and time management skills

Desirable:

- Experience working in a charity environment.
- Demonstrate experience working on events.
- Experience of working to meet targets, financial or otherwise.
- Experience of multi-tasking
