We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Technician based in their modern, eastern Cambridgeshire office.

The primary objective is to produce accounts to a high quality, tax compliance for a range of business clients across a wide range of sectors and sizes including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

The Accounts Technician role is varied and will involve
- Producing draft accounts
- VAT returns
- Preparation of corporate tax and self-assessment tax returns including Capital Gains
- Provide projections and forecasting information
- Assisting the audit team as and when required at client’s site.
- Liaising with clients on a regular basis, gaining a full understanding of their business, demonstrating a high calibre accounting knowledge appropriate to their sectors.

We invite those who are AAT qualified, or who are qualified by experience, with proven success in a similar role within an accountancy firm, to apply.

Key experience needed to be successful in this crucial role in the team is preparing draft financial statements and good IT skills with software such as Xero, Sage, Quickbooks or Dext.

Due to the client management aspect, you will communicate effectively and diplomatically.On a personal basis it will benefit you to be self-motivated, be able to work to a high calibre under pressure, be a team player

You will have experience in preparing draft financial statements and a good working knowledge of Excel and IT packages such as Xero and Sage.

You must be a good communicator, be able to work within a team effectively and demonstrate attention to detail. You will be self-motivated, driven and can work well under pressure.
