A pivotal role to join our bustling HR Team supporting the National COVID Services, by providing a comprehensive, objective and quality Covid-19 HR service to managers and colleagues in accordance with Employment legislation, national policy / guidelines and local Trust policies and procedures.
The role is part of a small but effective HR Team and reports into the HRBP. As well as Employee Relations, there is scope to utilise generalist abilities to better serve our internal customers and personally develop and grow, whilst supporting high profile national services as part of the UK's COVID and pandemic responses.
To support the COVID HR Team in the monitoring of implementation of policy, procedure, throughout the organisation, thus ensuring all aspects of work undertaken in relation to HR services is taken in line with appropriate policy & procedure, national guidance and employment legislation, taking steps to remedy and manage any deviation from policy as appropriate
Provide advice, guidance and support to Covid Directors, managers and staff on all aspects of HR policies generally, ensuring an objective, professional and confidential service. Thus, ensuring that staff carry out their duties in accordance with Trust policy, standing orders and service instruction and to defined standards of conduct, performance and attendance.
Advise and support managers on the identification and handling of issues relating to poor performance and capability and in dealing with capability, disciplinary, and grievance investigations.
Participation as part of disciplinary panel (within the post-holders level of
responsibility/capability) providing advice to the hearing officer on issues of employment law and Trust policies.
Support managers in the control of sickness absence and in ill-health reviews in collaboration with the Occupational Health Department and in line with the Trust’s sickness management policies.
Assist in the support of organisational change, advising managers on the consultation process and undertaking individual interviews in line with Trust policy.
Provide objective, confidential and professional welfare and support service to all staff when needed.
Support good employee relations by communicating with and involving staff side as appropriate and maintaining contact with key managers.
This role will support the remote based Covid services.

- Adherence to professional HR confidentiality standards and the Data Protection Act 1988 as amended, relating to information held manually or on computerized systems.
