**Salon Coordinator**

A Salon Coordinator is the first point of contact for our guests and during a typical day will interact with a variety of people, including guests, reps, maintenance personnel, partners etc. A Salon Coordinator must therefore be an expert in all areas of customer service. The essential traits for excellent Salon Coordinator must include friendliness, persuasiveness, tact, a positive attitude, diligence, compassion, initiative, and a great team player

They should play a leading role in the salon to strive for a premium guest experience. They are responsible in welcoming guests and ensuring they feel comfortable as soon as they arrive by offering a prompt warm welcome, taking their coat, offering refreshments and seating them comfortably. They should continue this focus throughout the guest journey with us till they leave the salon.

A key part of the role is involves working closely with the Salon Manager to maximise income, The salon coordinator is responsible for effectively managing the salon diary to ensure the diary is full of income earning guests.

They will ensure all space is utilised efficiently and executing the salon reservation policy to ensure guest ‘No Shows’ and last-minute appointment changes are zero. Where such diary gaps appear at short notice, the salon coordinator is responsible to offer up speedily and proactively these slots to other guests utilising a range of marketing tools, e.g., online bookings, internal marketing strategies

It is important that to maximise guest income and drive-up average guest bills that the Salon Coordinator is proactive in upselling to all guests, i.e., gift cards, expert retail product recommendations & treatments when booking services.

The salon coordinator requires a team player attitude in order that they support all team members proactively so that the Stylists/ therapists day runs to time and the guest experience is not compromised. They should assist Stylists where required, to accurately complete all areas of the guest consultation forms.


The Salon Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the front of house, including.
- Social Media experience is essential.
- managing the front desk operations
- ensuring that the salon environment meets high levels of cleanliness & hygiene standards
- ensuring the outside of the salon is kept clean, tidy & welcoming at all times
- payments are put through accurately by way of cash, card & gift cards
- reconcile till at the end of each day
- depositing cash at the bank daily
- ensure client data is kept safe and up to date
- ensuring retail merchandise is well presented & clean and adequate stock levels maintained
- signage in the salon
- pricing of merchandise so the guests can easily see the prices of products
- have a solid understanding of the products the salon stocks and the services available to the guests
- inform guests of new services and offers

The Salon Coordinator should monitor and manage the daily operations of the salon, observing how the salon runs to spot any issues and address them quickly to ensure a smooth running of the business. Every action that takes place inside the salon must be carefully and discretely observed and appropriate action taken swiftly to maintain salon appearance and premium guest experience.

They should work together with the salon manager to regularly review the salons performance and implement marketing strategies to maximise the salon. Managing all aspects of the salons social media platforms to keep in touch with existing guests as well as attracting new guests. Constantly review the social media channels to ensure we are present on all current channels, for example TikTok, so we are accessible and able to communicate to a wide guest audience. All posts should be in line with the image and branding of the salon and agreed with the Salon Manager.

In the absence of the Salon Manager, they should focus the team on maximising income and will be the point of contact to ensure the salon runs smoothly, guest experience level is maintained as well as completing any administrative tasks to support the Salon Manager in their absence.

A key part of the role is to keep the in-salon inventory as accurate as possible to ensure a smooth preparation of stock orders and ensuring an adequate level of retail, professional and consumable stock is always maintained.
