CV Screen are recruiting for an experienced MySQL DBA to join a market-leading software company based near Watford. Thisgrowing company require brilliant MySQL DBA experience preferably with some Linux System Administration experience.

An annual salary of circa £65,000 is available + hybrid working

**Client**

Our client is a leading software company within the transport industry, who are based just off Watford. Our client has state of the art facilities and provides a brilliant/collaborative working environment.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

The MySQL DBA will be responsible on a day-to-day basis for:

- Administration of MySQL databases including, but not limited to optimisation, backup & restore, migration, upgrade, monitoring, tuning, database cloning & replication, and patching.
- Implement maintain and improve clustered or other high availability configurations, including failover and DR procedures.
- Work with IT Security team to ensure data security for all database environments.

**Requirements**:
The MySQL DBA will have:

- Strong proficiency in large MySQL database management
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
- Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB
- Linux System Administration experience is desirable
