Wokingham Borough Council has an excellent opportunity available for a Transport Officer to join our Community Transport Team, on a 9-month fixed-term contract.

This is a superb opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who wants to be part of a dynamic Highways and Transportation Service.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with resolving day-to-day queries about the operation of transport to schools, colleges, and adult social care settings, and liaising with transport operators and other Council departments to ensure the most suitable and efficient transport for those clients who are eligible.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer relations skills and be confident to respond to and engage with customers in relation to transport enquiries.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft systems including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience in home to school transport, adult social care, DBS checks and safeguarding is desirable, although full training will be provided.
