Community Care Assistant

**LOCATION AND WORKING HOURS**
Our reablement team operates throughout Dorset and this position will be focused around the Bridport area. The role involves travel and so you must be a car driver, and have access to a vehicle. Mileage is paid at the rate of 45 pence per mile.
We can offer full and part-time work and it will involve a shift pattern including some evening and weekend working. The rate for weekend working is time and a quarter.
**THE OPPORTUNITY**
This is no ordinary care support role
The role is a unique blend of personal care and reablement work. You will work with individuals in their home to enable them to regain their independence and achieve their goals through independent living. You will need to be adaptable, flexible, resourceful, empathic, patient and able to to think on their feet. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with a number of different health professionals.
Whilst previous experience of working in a health or care setting would be beneficial we will give you full training to meet the care needs of people we care for, which can range from motivational support to personal care.

**ABOUT US**
Care Dorset is a new Local Authority Trading Company, wholly owned by Dorset Council. You will join a team of around 700 of our colleagues who have been making a positive impact to residents of Dorset since 2015, and in my cases, long before that. Care Dorset is a Disability Confident Employer.
