Job Description

Position: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Knowsley, Liverpool

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm & Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm (1 week rotation)

**Salary**: £36,012 PA including shift allowance

Due to expansion my client is currently looking to expand the team with the addition of a further Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the role will support all maintenance activities on site.

About the role:

- Undertake electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of all machinery, plant, equipment facilities
- Undertake fault diagnosis and repair on plant and machinery
- Identify and report on materials and parts required to overcome breakdowns and repairs
- Breakdown resolution, repairs and improvements to all machinery and processes
- The use of multi test equipment to identify and rectify faults within control systems
- Record accurate repair information relating to repair inspections or completed repair jobs
- Ensure parts required to repair machines are ordered through the relevant process
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard
- Comply with all good working practices
- Complete end of shift report detailing work undertaken

**Skills**:

- City & Guilds - Part 3 or ONC/OND/HNC Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent (Essential)
- Experience gained in a manufacturing environment (Essential)
- Pneumatics fault finding (Essential)
- Interpretation of complex electrical drawings
- An understanding of electronics is desirable but not essential
- Experience in the following modern control systems; PLCs fault finding, drives & controls, encoders, sensors & feedback systems, CNC machine controls
- Modifications to electrical and electronics circuits
- Retrofitting of drives and configuring parameters
- Some experience of installation projects
- Methodical approach to solving problems
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a fast paced environment
