Our global client who is a supplier of mechanical, hydrodynamic, electrical, hydraulic and electronic drive and braking systems is looking for Mechanical Fitters to be based at their Croydon site.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Overhaul of cooler groups, transmissions, couplers and engine rafts based primarily in the workshop.
- Mechanical fitting, assembly, strip, survey and test
- Read drawings, identify components, assemble and/or repair mechanical equipment
- Maintain good quality and efficiency
- Flexibility of skills to carry out testing, basic wiring and mechanical fitting
- Maintain good housekeeping, awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements
- Ability to complete technical documentation as work is progresses
- To perform other duties as assigned from time to time

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**
- Mechanical fitting experience, preferably for rotating equipment
- Ability to work to strict quality guidelines within ISO9001 and RISAS
- Preferably time-served apprentice trained, or other relevant qualification
- A working knowledge of safety systems such as Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments will be advantageous
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing principals such as 5s and knowledge of the 7 wastes would be beneficial, but not crucial
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills
- A flexible approach to meet customer demands

The successful applicant will be an outgoing and hardworking team player. They will be open to change, and will have a flexible and helpful approach to work. The applicant must be a self-starter, and be able and willing to improve their working area witha view to increase efficiency.

New Employees must pass a Drugs and Alcohol related Medical upon starting within the Company.

**PACKAGE DETAILS**:

- 5 working week; 07:00 - 15:00 Mon - Thurs and Fri 07:00 13:30
- £26k - £32k (dependent on experience)
- 20 days holiday
