We are recruiting on behalf of a Secondary School that is vibrant and inclusive; located in the heart of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. **Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant**
We are seeking a passionate and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join this team. This role is integral to the support of our students with challenging needs. **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Support for Students**: Provide tailored support to students with SEND, ADHD, ASD, and SEMH, ensuring their individual needs are met and they are fully included in classroom activities.
- **Individual and Group Work**: Assist in the delivery of individualised education plans (IEPs) and support small group interventions, focusing on both academic and social development.
- **Classroom Assistance**: Work alongside the class teacher to manage classroom behaviour, facilitate learning activities, and provide targeted support where necessary.
- **Progress Monitoring**: Track and record students' progress, helping to identify areas of improvement and celebrating their achievements.
- **Communication**: Maintain open communication with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the students' education and care.
**Daily Tasks**:
- Implement and adapt lesson plans to cater to the needs of students with varying abilities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help with their learning.
- Assist in the development of social skills and emotional regulation through structured activities and positive reinforcement.
- Use specialised strategies and tools to support sensory needs and behavioural management.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage in regular training and professional development to stay updated with the latest educational strategies and support techniques.

**Level 3 Teaching Assistant Course Overview**
The Level 3 Teaching Assistant course provides comprehensive training to prepare you for this rewarding role. Key modules include:
- **Understanding Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)**: Gain in-depth knowledge of various SEND conditions and effective support strategies.
- **Child Development**: Learn about the stages of child development and how to support children at each stage.
- **Supporting Learning Activities**: Techniques for assisting in the planning and delivery of educational activities.
- **Promoting Positive Behavior**: Strategies for managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
- **Working with Parents and Carers**: Building effective partnerships with parents and carers to support student development.
- **Safeguarding and Welfare**: Understanding the importance of safeguarding and how to ensure the welfare of all students.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Completion of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEND, ADHD, ASD, and SEMH is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
