**Rate Of Pay**:£11.50 Per Hour (£17,940 Per Annum) + Overtime

**Shift Patterns: 30**hrs a week Guaranteed, Permanent Contract

**Information about the Role**:
**Working as a Hospital Driver at Waterloo Manor your duties will include the following**:

- The safe conveyance of all items and passengers carried in the vehicles, and collection from/delivery to the designated places in a timely fashion.
- The safe operation of vehicles, including daily start and end of shift vehicle and equipment checks, making sure the vehicles are road legal and that fluid levels are maintained (i.e. water, fuel, oil, antifreeze, other hydraulic fluids) in order to ensure the safe and effective operation of the vehicles.
- Ensuring the vehicles are maintained in a road worthy condition at all times, completing defect report forms and reporting any safety defects immediately
- The maintenance of the necessary records and documents concerned with the operation of the vehicles (including mileage records, fuel issues and any service surveys that may be required)
- Keeping the vehicles clean inside and out.
- Operating the vehicles mobile communications system and maintaining contact with line managers and controllers as required
- Working mainly unsupervised, informing the line manager of any accidents or damage occurring to the vehicles, equipment, passengers or contents, however slight
- Carrying out the correct traffic accident procedure
- Reporting of any unusual occurrences or events and of all traffic offences, i.e. speeding, parking etc

**Information about the service**:
The service is gender specific, working with women who have complex mental health issues. Waterloo Manor is the largest female Personality Disorder service in the United Kingdon that provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mental health & disorders. The Hospital provides both low secure and rehabilitation services.

**Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Hospital Driver**:

- Driver Licence is essential.
- Current full, clean driving licence of the appropriate categories for cars or light vans (category B) and minibuses with up to 16 seats (category D1)
- Relevant experience in the same or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Previous transport service experience
- Previous experience of working in a health service/caring environment
