**Job description**:
As a day/night, 12-hour shift working Information Communications Specialist (ICT), you will be a member of the Battle Watch Team (BWT) working one in four shifts controlling the Royal Navy Link Control Facility (RNLCF). We are a critical 24/7 technical / cryptologic hub that directly supports specialist teams embarked in warships all over the world, ensuring that communications channels are engineered accurately to maintain operational connectivity.

Full training and mentorship will be provided to ensure you are able to perform the role with competency.

**Person specification**:
Specific tasks include maintaining overwatch and personal contact with deployed ships, and allied headquarters in the UK and abroad, updating encryption devices and transferring electronic files between systems for dissemination. Successful applicants should have good interpersonal skills, communication/military messaging experience (ICT ERP1 qualification is not essential but would be advantageous), and a foundation competence in Microsoft Office programmes. This position is also dependent on applicants’ achievement of Developed Vetting (DV) and additional security clearances.
