**About us**
Guinness Property provide repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance and improvement services to ensure that our customers’ homes are safe and maintained to high standard.
**About the role**
We have a vacancy for a Roofers Mate to cover the Bolton, Blackburn & Wigan in our Repairs and Empty Homes team. This is a permanent full-time vacancy working 39 hours a week Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday & 8:00am-3:30pm on a Friday).
To be considered for this post you will need to live locally to ensure we can get to our customers in a timely manner.
**What we’re looking for**
We’re a customer-focused organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. Reporting to the Service Manager you’ll be required to assist the Roofer and carry out remedial works to a high quality, ensuring that a customer focused maintenance repairs service is delivered.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate the below skills:
**Essential**:
- Proven ability to carry out minor remedial roofing works to a competent standard such as (but not limited to) guttering and slate replacement, minor leaks.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets.
- Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
- Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Ability to operate safely having taken into account any environmental circumstances and possible risks including working at height(s).
- Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
**Desirable**:
- Health and Safety Knowledge.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Experience of working within the social housing sector
**Qualifications**
- Level II NVQ or experience relevant to role
