We are now recruiting a Receptionist to join our team at Lea Marston Hotel**.**

As a Receptionist you are responsible for ensuring the room cleanliness is too a high standard.

**Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards**:

- To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.
- To provide professional, friendly and efficient Reception service to all guests of the hotel, whilst achieving maximum revenue and guest satisfaction.
- To maintain standards of hospitality as laid down by hotel and company policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:
To be fully aware of hotel activities and facilities.

2.To welcome all guests on their arrival and assist them in a courteous, helpful mannerwith registration and when checking out of the hotel.

3.To assist guests throughout their stay in a friendly and professional manner, informing the Guest Relations Manager/ Duty Manager of any complaints.

4.To be fully aware of the hotel cash handling and credit procedures and to report any discrepancies to your Supervisor/ Manager or in their absence the Guest Relations Manager/ Duty Manager immediately.

5.To operate the hotel switchboard, answering it to the company standard, ensuring that all messages are correctly handled and processed to guests’ roomsimmediately.

6.To be constantly aware of the hotels availability in order to maximise all opportunities to sell rooms at the best possible rate.

7. To monitor all guest accounts and to make sure all charges posted are correct with supporting documentation.

8.To assist with luggage, providing information and booking services as required.

9.To take a reservation according to company standard during periods when the Reservations Office is unmanned or busy, ensuring all necessary information iscompleted and recorded accurately.

10.To upsell all facilities within the hotel to guests, e.g. room service, bar etc.

11.To be fully aware of all functions and facilities within the hotel,e.g.opening/closingtimes of breakfast/dinner.

12.To ensure good working relationships with colleagues in the Reception area andother departments of the hotel.

13.To liaise closely with Housekeeping and Reservations/Sales Office, advising them of information such as departures, arrivals, stay-ons and any special requests.

14.To ensure the security of guest valuables, departmental keys and floats. This to include ensuring company security procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.

15.To ensure that once guests are checked out to ledger the accounts are checked against their correspondence to ensure accurate details are recorded.

19.To practice the correct and safe use and care of all items of equipment.

20.To ensure on all occasions you observe safe and hygienic working practices in order to satisfy the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and other statutory legislation.

21.To attend training when required.

22.To be fully aware of and strictly observe Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Security policies and procedures.
