**Would you like to earn during the school holidays whilst working in a fun and exciting environment?**

This is a casual role to work during school holiday periods only (except Christmas and bank holidays). Mondays - Fridays 8am - 6pm flexible working hours are offered to suit your availability, You will be based in a children's holiday club leading the early years, will assist in providing a caring, secure environment, through individual attention and group activities, and facilitate an appropriate range of leisure activities for children between the ages of three and twelve years old. Have an understanding of the EYFS to lead activities for the early years.

**The Job Key areas**:

- To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the school holiday facility.
- To help and support other team members
- To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop
- Supervision and care of children.
- Direct play work.
- to lead activites for the early years and have an Understanding of the EYFS

**Responsible to**:Play Leader/Club Manager.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**Activity planning**:

- To provide safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities including preparing activities, organizing programs and arranging equipment.
- To ensure that all activities are carried out within an equal opportunities framework.
- Duties will include setting up and arranging equipment ready for activities, running activities with small groups of children and tidying up afterwards.
- To undertake any necessary training including play work training courses.
- To provide an environment in which children can adapt their own play opportunities and lead their own development and interests.
- To encourage community-wide participation and activity planning and delivery.

**Direct play work**:

- Help the play coordinator/leader to ensure that wide ranges of creative and enjoyable activities are offered and made available for children to access freely and adapt to suit their own needs and interests.
- Ensure play meets the full range of children's individual and group needs and interests.

Someone who loves to see children of all ages enjoying different activities and having fun. You’ll be friendly and approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work closely with the management team to ensure that the club organisation and administration is of the highest quality. You will be good at using your initiative and always thinking one step ahead, looking to further your training and position with in the club.

Childcare experience necessary and level 3

**About Fun Fest Marlow**

Fun Fest holiday club is different. we offer children the choice about how they spend their holidays. We have built up a menu of over 50 activities and children can choose a different activity from a programme for every morning and every afternoon. Fun Fest is Ofsted registered and run by fully qualified and experienced nursery staff, along with teaching assistants and enthusiastic students, creating an energetic and fun atmosphere, balanced with a safe and controlled environment. Our priority is to ensure your child has FUN, has a CHOICE about how they have fun, and is kept SAFE during their holidays.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: up to £11.00 per hour depending on experience.

Ability to commute:

**Experience**:

- childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Paediatric First Aid Certification
- Level 3 in childcare and Education

Work Location: One location

Expected start date: 03/04/23
