**Job description**
DegreeSix Recruitment are a specialist agency working with Residential Children's Services (Aged 8-18) supporting those that have suffered childhood trauma, emotional and behavioural difficulties, mental health and autism.

**Duties and responsibilities of a Support Worker -**
- Maintaining a safe, clean and positive living environment for the children
- Following correct safeguarding practices
- Providing personal, domestic and emotional support
- Engaging in fun activities within the community and within the home
- Promoting and developing positive relationships with the young people
- Work collaboratively with the core staff team to promote the well-being of young people
- Knowledge of OFSTED Children's Home regulations

**Ideally you'll have the following**:
- Minimum of 3 months UK based Social Care experience (Essential)
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Online update service (Preferred - small charge if you require a new certificate)
- Full Driving Licence (Preferred but not essential)
Most importantly you must be **caring**, **hard working**, **honest** and **passionate** about providing the best level of care and encouraging mental and physical development of young people.

- Level 3/4 Children and Young People qualification (preferred)
